History & Background

Base 2 was established in 1987. Since 1987 base2 has been responsible for design, manufacture and software for numerous control room systems worldwide (see sample of sites listed below) including The White House, Microsoft World Headquarters – Seattle, Cape Canaveral Space Launch Facility. Base 2 has also been responsible for the Voice Communications System installed at Sydney Central Train Control. This system is used for all train movements in the Greater Sydney Area. Base 2 has also installed a system at Broadmeadow Train Control which integrates 12 different voice subsystems (ex: PABX, Wayside, Magneto, Train Radio, SelCall, Open Channel Radio) into a single Voice Communication System
